NTC EDSA Free WiFi Project: A Different, yet Clever Solution

Wazzup Everybody? Let’s all be honest; do we call get impatient when we hit one of the “Largest Parking Lot” in the world? Yes! I know that we all demand lighter traffic for the “Long road of monstrosity,” but it won’t happen anytime soon unfortunately, even riding monorails are still a huge pain too. However, NTC have a solution so even if you keep waiting, you’ll never get bored trying to play that one of those Dragon-type Shoot-em-up Games on your phone: “EDSA Free WiFi Project.” Keep going and why I find this clever.

Speed Test at MRT Ayala

So, you’ll be thinking: Nico, that’s not a long-term solution to EDSA’s Heavy to Standstill Traffic every weekday or not getting sandwiched like a sardine in a can at MRT, it doesn’t but NTC tries to give you more patience while on the station by giving you fast WiFi that is 1000x faster than your average EDSA commute by car. With the collaboration of the agencies that involves railroad companies, Telcos, and so forth are giving very fast WiFi that can even accommodate 230,000 of the 444,044 daily MRT Line 3 commuters, which is pretty neat considering most of the Free WiFis before are getting slower and slower when a large number of people connected to it. It has been reported that the fastest Station for Downloading is at Ortigas Station and the fastest upload speed is at the Magallanes Station, but doesn’t mean the selected stations are slow but even for the Stations with heaviest usage of this Free WiFi is at Taft Ave., North Ave., Cubao, Ayala, Shaw Blvd., and Boni Ave. Stations, they still get all of those people connected like they’re connecting on their own and covering 24km of the said “Long Road of Monstrosity” called EDSA. Neat!

To conclude this short insight, that indeed is a clever way to make your very tight or very lengthy waiting commute to MRT Line 3 more enjoyable. Although I’m looking forward implementing this at the other monorails like LRT lines and if they have a gut, even PNR from Tutuban to Calamba. (You’ll never know if It works.) But of course, don’t bring a gaming rig into a Train Station just to play something like Counter-Strike just to get that very low ping that you can’t get at your own place.

(If you made this far, it’s because you’re wondering if where’s NicDroid who originally been to this Press Conference. Well, he can’t log in so he can’t publish it by himself and hopefully he’ll be back soon at here and at the YouTube Channels.)
