Super Smash Bros. Switch

With the recent release of the new trailer of the new Super Smash Bros, everyone in the Smash community is ecstatic on what new things will Nintendo give us. Though I have only played Brawl in the Wii, I may not have much opinion on the matter. Even so, I got excited when the trailer for the new game was released. When I saw some still pictures of the trailer, there is not much to say, but when I saw the trailer itself, its a whole 'nother story.

Before we dive into the new game, let's look back to the history of the Super Smash Bros. The first game was released domestically in Japan in the year 1999 for the Nintendo 64. Though considered as a fighting game, it was pretty different with the likes of Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter and Tekken. Instead of depleting your opponent's health bar, you will need to knock them off the stage. Some stages are so big, that you will need to strategize on how you will KO your opponent. And some stages are so small, you will need to strategize on how to survive.

Throughout the years, Smash Bros has added new features into the mix and added third-party characters like Sonic, Snake, Megaman, Pac-man, Ryu and Cloud Strife into the roster.

Since the release of the Nintendo Switch last year, Nintendo have been busy developing and releasing new games for the new console. Both Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey are critically acclaimed games that has the signature Nintendo sheen. With that said, some speculate that the new Smash Bros will just be a remastered version of the Wii U game much like the Mario Kart 8 deluxe. But with the hybrid console, there is a big possibility that Nintendo will be adding new features and characters into the mix.

With its portability, it will be easy to have 8 player battle royales and since a lot of Switch can be present, it's possible that we can have a 16 player battle royale! Also, this is just a speculation, Crash Bandicoot will be added into the mix since the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be release on the Switch on July 10 of this year.

With Nintendo being open to third-party developers now for the Switch, it is safe to say that the new Smash Bros will be the ideal game for all of our favorite characters to duke it out.
