Hello Peeps and Geeks! We have a rise in amatuer Dota 2 tournaments and it seems it's going to be hella big for South East Asia. Find out more below.

Looks like it's gonna be big time for South East Asia E-sports with the launch of New Blood Championship boasting it'll be the biggest amatuer e-sports to date for the SEA e-sports market.

T'was designed by two of the most dominant  e-sports companies in SEA which mainly,  Purpose Win Entertainment Limited (PWEL) and Fallout Gaming (FG). These two had their first partnership together hosting the Galaxy Battles Season 1 on 14th - 18th June 2017 with a prize pool of USD 150,000 and was held at Shen Zen, China. This gives them a path and a united vision to build up the e-sports market for the new generation.

About New Blood Championship, tis an amateur tournament of amazing magnitude that justifies the e-sports market in SEA, which is growing at an incredible rate, to be set here. It'll be the first in the series as well as the first of it's kind across South East Asia, targeted at new and aspiring gamers. There will absolutely be no Professional Teams even tier 1 teams. The tournament itself is divided into 3 stages - online country qualifiers, on-ground country qualifiers and the Main Event.

Here comes an opportunity to talk about Galaxy Battles from which the dominant companies first shared their partnership. It'll be hosted here in the Philippines for Galaxy Battles Season 2 and comes with the tagline, emerging worlds. It means that it'll merge both professional and amateur scene together for the first time even in Dota 2 history.

It'll have a total prize pool of USD 1,000,000 which will commence in mid-November with regional invitational qualifiers and open qualifiers through 6 regions mainly; China, SEA, Europe, Commonwealth of Independant States (CIS), North America and South America. Each region will have one slot and it'll see that 2 slots from the Galaxy Battles Major to be allocated for the New Blood Championship.

The main reason why the Philippines is the set venue for Galaxy Battles is because of it's passionate and aspiring gamers. The Directors are fascinated and happy about the filipino gamers and decided to hold the tournament here in the largest indoor stadium in the world, Philippines Arena, Bulacan. It boasts a 60,000 seating capacity and is separated into 3 main section; Galaxy Battles Esports Arean, Dota 2 World and Entertainment Arena.

It'll be an amazing experience for everyone and it'll start on the 19th, 20th and 21st of January 2018. This is one event you don't wanna miss. Join in on one of the biggest Esports event in history.
