What we have right now is perhaps one of the biggest news on
the eSports scene, Valve has recently announced that they will be partnering up with 3rd Party Tournament organizers from around the globe in hopes it'll open up the eSports for Dota 2 even more. What this means is that it paved way for to more open eSports without being in a professional team.
The New Blood Championships is an upcoming Dota 2 Tournament to be launched in 2017. This tournament is composed and developed by two of the biggest esports companies in SEA, namely Purpose Win Entertainment Limited (PWEL) and Fallout Gaming (FG).
The tournaments prize pool with be at a total of USD 40,000.00 and what will serve to be it's ultimate prize for the winners is a main slot in the 2nd season of Galaxy Battles.
This tournament will also be the first of its kind as the first series of amateur gaming tournament across South East Asia for any potential and aspiring gamers. It'll be strictly for amateurs and no one from the professional team is allowed to enter.
The New Blood Championships will be divided into 3 stages: The Online Qualifiers, The Playoffs and the NBC Main Event Finals. Open-Country Online Qualifiers will be held across five countries namely so on the picture and they will all compete on their respective countries until 16 teams remain. Those 16 teams will now go forward on the On-ground finals and it will be a LAN based playoff till one team remain to represent it's country to the NBC Main Event. It will be held at Jakarta, Indonesia.
