WD My Cloud Mirror - Compact-sized NAS Solution (Review)

Wazzup Everybody? As a Content Creator, dealing with a very small capacity small drives will be the pain, and I thought that having your own NAS in your Home and Office will be a great solution but since my Bedroom-Office is Small and don't have a space to put one Mini-tower ATX-sized Server. I almost gave up until I found this, WD My Cloud Mirror. Check out my Full Review after this break. (Navigator Rasis is not Included.)

WD My Cloud Mirror (with Navigator Rasis)
As most of us know, Western Digital delivers wide variety of Storage Solution for Home and Professionals, and Network-Attached Storage (or NAS) is one of them. Here I got the WD My Cloud Mirror and It's a Private Cloud NAS with a Backup that I'll explain to you further in this review. It houses with a Glossy White Finish with WD Branding on the Front with 3 LEDs Indicating the Power and Two Drives. This is small for what It is capable of (Take that Rasis-02 7-inch Figure as a Reference.)

On the Rear, you'll see the Reset hole, Two USB 3.0 Ports to Plug your Storage Drives here to make a backup, a Ethernet Port and DC Power Port. There's no Power switch, just simply plug in with the Ethernet Cable to your Router and It's ready to be set up with the My Cloud Software on Mac, PC, or Mobile.

Oh yeah, there's a Hatch Above where you can replace the Two Hard Drives when one or both of them are dead, but Out-of-the-box, WD My Cloud Mirror Houses Two 2TB WD Red NAS-grade Hard Drives (total of 4TB) that you can just slide right in with the removable screws and flap to easily pull it out in the future. They are secured with a Bracket where you can still easily Screw it Off and On without needing of Tools. Pretty Neat
WD My Cloud Interface (Browser)
"Now, Hold on a second, Your NAS got 4TB, Why you only got 2TB of Usable Storage?" Great question, hence the word "Mirror" the Other Hard Drive acts as an Redundant Storage to Keep your Files Safe especially from Data Loss (which I suffer a lot) This what they call RAID 1, when RAID 0 Joins Multiple Hard Drives into one, this one just Makes a Mirror (hence the Mirror in the Name.) This is very important for people who'll store a lot of Important Files that they can't afford to lose. Although if you're risky, you can set it to RAID 0 if you're over for a Bigger Storage. You can check the status and even Access Files with the WD My Cloud App for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android and It also allows you to Stream from that Server to a Media Player like Smart TVs, Phones and Tablets, Media Center PCs Seamlessly by Just browsing for My Cloud Mirror!
WD My Cloud Interface (Windows)
Performance-wise, this is a excellent NAS and didn't have any problems for the past few weeks, It's easy to understand and to do and to store all of the files, you'll just Drag and Drop and call it a day. Since there's also a "Cloud" in the Name, You can access your Storage even out of Network when you need it with the said App. All you have to do is just log in with the credentials you used on your WD My Cloud Mirror and you'll be seeing the files in no time and ready to download. I did forgot some files and WD My Cloud Mirror saved me from that hassle to go home to just get that data.
Fast and Convenient Drag and Drop!
Continuing to the performance, Read and Write Speeds are not surprising at all but since we're dealing with Hard Drives and not SSD, it's not a big deal and still gets the job done even with the Traditional Copy-Paste Benchmark from PC to My Cloud Mirror.

Concluding this Review, I'm going to say that I enjoyed getting experience with an All-In-One Compact-sized NAS Solution for the few weeks. This is a best choice when you're looking for a Small-scale NAS Storage without sacrificing the space around your house and going to deal with anything else just to set this up. It can be use just for both Home and Professional Use. I would recommend this too for the Content Creators out there who are struggling with Storage Solutions. WD My Cloud Mirror is Available from 4TB up to 16TB (Just divide it by 2 If you're gonna use RAID 1.) You can check out their Website to learn more on the Pricing and Where to get this. (Huge Thanks to Western Digital for sending this Product for Review!)
