DroidTips: Headphone Buying 101

Hello Gazetteers! We all love music but sometimes if you just buy a pair of headphones by winging it, It will regret you when you realized is not good at all. So on DroidTips, I'll teach you how to get a headphone perfect for you regardless of Brand. Check this Tip after the break.

The first thing is "Where will You use these?"; Headphones have multiple uses rather than Music and the Location you will use this (like if you're gonna use this for commuting, studio, spying- er, chatting someone on the phone, etc.)

The second thing is "What kind of headphones are you buying?" You can use the Infographic above for what kind of headphones do you like. For example, You want to use a kind of headphones for commuting but I need to stay focused on the surroundings while riding or walking; Obviously, you can chose any one of them but just sure you leave your one ear open to the surroundings for safety purposes.

Earphones sit outside of the ear so You'll expect some little isolation to the audio you're listening. While Earbuds (or IEM's) sit in the ear canal and have more isolation to the surroundings than the Earphones. While the Full-sized headphones have two different types: Circumarual covers completely your ear for full isolation while Supra-aural sits on your ear (but sometimes Supra-arual is comfortable because of the pressure to the ears.)

Now here's the fun Tip you can also apply while buying Speakers too:
You need to know what part of the sound is good at your choice of headphones, let's just split these into three bands:
BASS is the lowest tone that you will ever hear, Bass is also the reason why the music is Punchy while listening to Ridin' Dirty or other Hip-hop songs out there, because they're focused getting the Punchy Bass sound.
MID is obviously the middle of the lows and highs of the tone. You can hear Vocals at Mids so If you're up to getting a headphones that's bright to hear the vocals, get the headphone who have a good Mids.
TREBLE is the highest tone you can get (e.g. shouting). This isn't necessary but you need to listen how it sounds between mids and highs to get the most of the clarity of a headphone you're buying.

What about OEM's?
OEM's could be good as a Original but Make sure to check the sound quality if It's better or just the same.

One more Tip to remind you when buying Headphones:
Load some Dubstep-py Music to test overall of the Lows-Mids-Highs If they're balanced or whatsoever. I would suggest to test it with the Music called "Rage Valley" by Knife Party.
Because if you don't, you'll end up like that guy below.

The better headphones do a great job of sealing out external environmental noise so you can listen at a lower (safer) volume and still hear all of that amazing detail.
